This blog will discuss the books, plays, and audiobooks concering a certain 11 year old who goes by the name of William Brown. Importantly, Richmal Crompton and her works will
also be discussed on this blog.
I received my first William book for my 11th birthday, in 1995. It's only now that I've actually realised that it was my 11th birthday, what a happy coincidence! The book was a compilation titled William at War and the feeling of wonder and adventure that William provided has stuck with me.
I still have that book now; with its faded spine and it's heartening inscription from my mother.
I am hoping that this blog will eventually prove to be a comprehensive resource, not just of my own thoughts and feelings about Richmal Crompton's rich source of material, but also some facts, figures, and an A-Z of William's world.
